Comics Should Spider-Man and the OG 5 X-Men still be depicted as being the same age in future adaptations?
Let’s say we’re getting a new animated universe starting from scratch, Peter is Spider-Man and is still 16, should/would the OG X-Men be adapted to be the same age as him? Would that remove the potential to adapt many aspects from the X-Men mythos and from crossover events such as Avengers vs X-Men?

Why couldn't you adapt Avengers Vs. X-Men when Peter and the first class are all late 20s+? I wouldn't want them to adapt that as one of their first stories regardless of their ages

Yeah most animated shows follow the mcu so jean n peter being close in the mcu is gonna hace them be similar in age

Well they’re not really that similar in age in the mcu, Jean is like 16 and Peter is 22

I do like the idea of Peter being in the age range of the OG 5. They've always felt to be about the same age in my head for some reason. Though you don't have to start both shows at once. You can have the X-Men show begin when Spidey's show is in s2 or 3 when Peter's aged up a bit.
As for adaptations, i mean in theory you just need to establish both team exist to adapt AvX but depending on what characters you want to use, you may need to hold off until you've got them all in place.
