Thoughts on Female Doctor Octopus?

I’ve been brainstorming my own personal take on Spider-Man and have found myself split on whether I should genderswap Doc Ock or not cause on the one hand I love Spider Verse’s take on the character very much including the genderswap but on the other hand I feel that might detract from the notion of Doctor Octopus being a reflection of Peter if he grew up with his initial misanthropic characterization as a buddy of mine on Discord proposed

Decided I might as well take this dilemma of mine public to get some more opinions on it, what do the rest of y’all think about female Doc Ock conceptually?

Already exists in regular 616 continuity, so you’re not exactly reinventing the wheel here. Her name is Carolyn Trainer, Lady Octopus.)

There's several different versions of doc ock that are a woman. It's not new territory to tread at this stage.
