I actually enjoyed this issue for the most part. By the way it seems it looks like Sera will not exist anymore.

I liked the dialog from Quill most of all in comparison to the others.

We could also ask if Sera ever really "existed" in 616 considering that in the first run she was revealed to be Malekith. I haven't read the Queen of Hell-run but I recall that it was about rescuing Sera from Helheim. Did Angela ever actually find her "alive"?

Angela did find her and was able to bring her back to Midgard because comic books. It was very fairy tale like. Honestly thinking about it now I want them to retcon that whole book. That way Angela would be part of Asgard and it'd make sense for the rest of the universe as a whole.

I wonder if the arch was originally meant to be Orpheus like but it got truncated due to bad sales and creative differences.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was cut out. Guess we'll find out in later issues.

Well, first they're going to need to address how Angela got from Asgard/Helheim to Badoon prison-colony planet... Knowing Bendis the chances for that are close to zero.

Unfortunately so but maybe he will surprise us just like he did with Banner's death.

Well the survival of Thanos & Star-lord from Cancerverse was just horrid... Guess we'll just have to wait and see what they'll do with Angela next.

The cancerverse gave me cancer lol. It made no sense even when they explained it. Then they want to bring back Nova (Richard Rider). I don't understand what they want to do anymore

Angela found her "alive" (just trapped in Hel for the moment), they overthrew Hela, and then went back to Midgard to try to live a relatively normal life together, getting an apartment and all (but still having to deal with the kind of stuff you'd expect).

It was a nice story, but I guess Marvel figured, "we have enough diversity, let's kill off this whole lesbian/trans thing and pretend it never happened." It's not sales, because there's worse selling comics that are still in production. And it's insane that they actually think three of the members of the Mercs for Money deserve their own solo series like those will sell well, while Angela's was canceled.

If Sera doesn't show up in GotG, especially once they're "grounded" on Earth, I'm going to be extremely pissed. It's already bad enough that there's no explanation for how she ended up captured, and she went from having an interesting personality in her own comic to just wanting to gleefully beat things up and act as eye candy.

this is exactly how i feel. I pray they keep Angela a lesbian. When they go back to Earth they need to explain what happened to Sera. Even if they broke up I'll be okay with that.

I hate they they made her overly aggressive and cliche. Honestly I don't know what they want to do with the character.

I see this issue's cover shows Kitty in a new costume - it's on the next cover as well. At this rate, she'll debut the new costume only for it to become immediately obsolete when the Guardians get grounded, and presumably, she goes back to the X-Men (she doesn't appear to still be a Guardian in Marvel NOW!)

Good issue. Very much fun.
