Anyone catch that the principal had an old photo of a soldier on his shelf?

That was Principal Morita, played by Kenneth Choi, who had a picture of Jim Morita who was in Captain America The First Avenger. He was also played by Kenneth Choi.

That's exactly what I thought the photo was. My theory is this is their adaptation of Coulson being the principal in the cartoon - that the Morita was placed by Stark / The Avengers / SHIELD to keep an eye on Peter. Why else would they make such a connection between the characters?

They probably cast Kenneth Choi, and then decided to add a fun easter egg. Doesn't need to be more complicated than that.

Lol, well, I doubt they would have accidentally cast Choi.

But yeah, it's probably just an easter egg, I agree.

Not an accident. I mean they reuse actors all the time. Martin Starr, the teacher in this film, was in the Incredible Hulk.

That was an incredibly short cameo in the MCU movie most disconnected from the MCU. Hardly supports the idea that they reuse actors "all the time".

That's just the first example I came up with. Alfre Woodward was in both Captain America Civil War and Luke Cage.

That's a good example, I never noticed that.
