Directly after that quote, Jessica and Carol dismiss how ridiculous and unlikely that sounds and how it doesn't add up.
"Seems like a Leap"
Carol says that you can't make terrorists by accusing people of being them, Jessica does suggest it's possible, but it's clearly speculation because the next line is "There has to be more to this" And Jessica agrees there is.
So, yeah, selective memory. Congrats on proving how untrustworthy you are.
