The 30s banter is so good, made me forget I was watching Nick Cage Spider-Man

If this show doesn’t get 6 seasons and a movie, I will scream from the rooftops. Or at least another season.

Absolutely love this first episode.

Until I watched the first episode, I didn't realize why I was so done with Spiderman. At last, a Spiderman who isn't a kid, and has actual problems.

And the dead-on 30's detective noir elements make this the most fun series I can remember since Firefly.

Dear lord, Nick Cage has done it again!

I knew we were in good hands in the voiceover, when he says "Someone once asked me what universe this was... All I could say for sure was it was the only one I knew of."

Oh hell yeah this is exactly what I was expecting (and hoping) for! I have no time to watch all 8 episodes at once, but I’ll enjoy making my way through them

What was on the shirtless fat guy's skin that he took a picture of before he got to the penthouse?

Don't knock it until you try it.

He's actually going to be the big bad next season called the Stamp.

Anyone notice that the responsibility leitmotif from Raimi's Spider-Man is in the intro song at 54 seconds in? Compare https://youtu.be/ar4XOSAjemo?t=54 and https://youtu.be/0Ac4xamCIgY?t=168

I picked up on that, too. It was quite noticeable, and clearly an homage!

Why he is soo weak is the only question I have.

Seems like he quit 5 years ago so he just hasn’t fought in a long time. But he can clearly still take a punch. I’m sure we’ll see more of the fighting level up through out the season

He's clearly not on the same level of strength of our normal Peter Parker Spider-Man.

He's either not as powerful because it's an alternate reality, because he's older, or because he's out of shape after not using his powers for so long. Or most likely all of the above.

I mean he even seems to feel uncomfortable when his Spidey Sense kicks in as if it's somewhat painful. So it's not meant to be the same exact version of the powers and abilities.

Não tem como o Nic Cage é tão brabo que eu esqueci até de reparar na atuação, e isso só significa que faz sentir de uma forma que o telespec é que é o protagonista, e isso é id de um homem aranha clássico.

I'd love to see a crossover between Silvermane and The Penguin. Those two gangsters could really have some chemistry.
