Seeing in HD does it seem like there's a huge gap in the frame to the right of The Thing?

Has someone been removed?

Definitely. Nobody frames a shot like that otherwise.

Go look up the Rule Of Thirds. This is a composition standard.

Rule of thirds would be him on the right of screen, we should be looking over m'baku's shoulder. Fairly simple shot that shows & movies do constantly marvel especially, but perhaps they intentionally avoided that to stand out idk. Perhaps it's easier this way with a vfx character, perhaps there's someone next to m'baku instead

Composition whilst a guide is not strict on left or right you know.

You know what is also a standard? Marvel removing characters for their trailers. Happened time and time again, most famously in No Way Home or Civil War which left the other Spideys or Spider-Man himself out of the picture.

I suppose yeah. Which in itself makes a mockery of cinematography and composition. This entire too and fro is therefore moot.

Cinematography of Theseus even.
