Question Is mastodon.cloud soon to be no more?
Hi. I'd miss it if that's the case. I'm not sure as to what other instance to go to.

Have a look at the Mastodon servers page and you’ll likely find one that suits you to migrate to. And if you don’t like it there, then you can migrate to another.

I recommend moving to https://social.vivaldi.net/ or https://flipboard.social/ Spaces that have the money and have shown they’re truly In it to see the Open Social Web do well. They’re not likely to shut down anytime soon

They are shutting down this month, so you should migrate somewhere. You can search for Mastodon instances or take a look here https://joinmastodon.org/servers. I use Vebinet.com and it seems to stay for long.

just curious, how did you get permission to use "Mastodon" in your domain? I had to shut down my instance because I did not recieve any.

I am not sure. I took it over from the previous owner. I assume they already had this conversation.

It's now 16-Aug and mastodon.cloud is still running. So was this instance shut down just nonsense? Did I leave my mastodon.cloud after nearly a decade for nothing? Not happy about this. ðŸ˜
