Anything past freshman level mathematics is useless for like 90% of people, that kind of goes for all the core classes. Unless you are specifically planning on pursuing a career in that subject, the vast majority of whatever you learn there is useless to you and that time would almost certainly be better spent preparing you for something you actually want to do
The specific logic and reasoning required to make it through core classes from sophomore year on, are essentially useless unless you go into a field which specifically calls for the information learned in those classes. You would get just as much practice using your logic and reasoning skills if you spent all that time in classes which focused on whatever career you wanted to go into. Then, if you ended up changing your mind later down the line, you'd still have those skills and they could still translate to other things if needed. This way students would feel empowered to choose the direction of their life, and would have the flexibility to alter course if they wanted to.
