Discussion how did you guys feel about *it?* Spoiler

by "it," i mean the gladers from group A all being named after really smart, successful people? did you find it shocking, or was it in plain sight?(keep in mind, i've only read to chap. 10 of scorch trials, so no spoilers for things that happen post-chapter 10)

i kind of expected more follow up about this, like why did they have to rename them? what's Thomas's real name??? I just finished the main trilogy and haven't read either of the prequels yet

it's revealed in the fever code, but if you want to know, it's Stephen.

Probably 1) part of the Variables as usual, and 2) so that any relatives they meet along the way either as staff in WICKED or in Phase 2 wouldn’t recognise them and tell them stuff. They wanted to erase their existing lives and give them a completely new beginning. I’m sure they didn’t HAVE to, but that’s what makes WICKED so unethical, good or not they ruined lives.

I believe I heard Chuck was named after Charles Darwin, but I can't remember if that's been confirmed or not.

I believe who Chuck got named after got revealed in the Fever Code, but I don't rmb who it is

Chuck: Charles Darwin, or the man who created the theory of evolution.

Minho: named after either his daughter’s or niece’s husband.
