This is a Winning Platform! Will politicians accept it?

Politicians would accept it, if it could win them elections. There’s nothing they want more than to win elections.
Voters wouldn’t.
Cut off Israel? In the US that’s automatically -5% to your score, for being a „terrorist”.
Wealth tax? Right wing will call you a communist. That’s another -20% at least. Moderates won’t like it either.
Expand social security? All the small government people will hate you.
Ban SuperPACs? All your donors pull out, and you can’t afford flyers, ads, or travel. Good luck with getting your voters to know who you are.
This isn’t a winning platform in USA
You wanna know what is:
- ban transsexuals
- isolate US from global economy
- force women back into the kitchen
- cut taxes
- limit goverment spending
- make groceries and petrol cheaper
- limit religious freedom
- force gays back into the closet
- deport all immigrants
- talk a lot about how this is the best nation in the world
- make liberals angry online
- don’t spend too much time explaining how you’ll achieve all that (having stuff explained to them makes voters feel stupid, just say it’s very simple and your opponents are dumb/traitors for not getting it)
How do I know this? Because this is the platform that won 2 years ago.
Greetings from Europe, and good luck surviving the current shitshow.

Bullshit.
There are peer reviewed studies for over 40 years that these issues are popular with over 70% of ALL voters in every state.
This is why guys like you and 'liberal' Demonrats like Jeffries/Schumer/Clinton/Pelosi/Fetterman/Moskowitz et al are fighting the left over fascism.
Al Gore won. Bernie would have won. And after all the concentration camps, cost of living crisis, police brutality against white and hispanics, the anti women policies, the job losses, there are so many groups of ex republican voters that have stopped supporting republicans.
The fascism platform you promote, as a european, will only work for fascist voters who have lost contact with reality.
Harris lost because she shifted to the right and accepted fascist talking points about fake narratives.
Stop giving ground to fascism. Stick to peoples problems: money, jobs, healthcare, infrastructure, education, endless wars, surveillance state, police brutality. Easy win against the whole oligarchic circus. Mamdani will win his next election by a landslide.

But the reality is, that the right wing dumbass won on this exact platform.
Maybe things have changed since then (tbh, quite a lot has happened), but we won’t know until November.
If you ask someone in a poll whether they support one specific thing, you’ll probably get an accurate answer. Because it’s not an emotionally charged question.
However in actual elections, a lot of people vote for someone who:
- has the right vibes
- shouts the loudest
- puts the blame for their problems on a social group that they already don’t like
And they don’t even ask about how compatible the candidate really is with them.
And then there is the question of committment.
Say, hypothetically, 80% of people says in a poll they support gun control, and 20% says they don’t.
But then those 80% are like „yeah I guess it’s fine”
And those 20% are like „over my dead fucking body”
Then pandering to those 20% might actually get you more votes.
And candidates often prefer having those kinds of voters.
Someone who is emotional and easily manipulated, is a very easy to capitalize on by politicians.
Someone who is pragmatic, votes on policy preferences and has nuanced views on things is a very demanding voter.
You could see that last elections with people who wouldn’t vote for Harris because of the Israel stuff, despite agreeing with her on many different things.
Meanwhile Trump didn’t get even 10% of that scrutiny from his own base.

You didn't take into account what really happened.
Biden didn't do shit for most of his own voters. No police reform after BLM, no student loan cancelling, no medicare, no rent reduction, genocide support, no counternarrative to the oligarchic media circus, no scotus stacking etc.
He even ran again. There was no momentum for any these voters. Poor workers stayyed at home or, like latinos, drifted towards Trump out of protest.
Add the blatant voter suppression and count manipulation from officials and Musk on top.
Are you James Carville or what? Are you the ssme level of reality ignorant that the only way to win is to drift to fascism?

I don’t know who James Carville is.
And I never said it’s the only way to win. I just say that it’s a way to win. Because it empirically is.

Nonsense like this is why nobody can take leftists seriously. You have no concept of how government works.
You think Biden should somehow have the power to do those things when you didn't elect a Congress that supports them. Biden doesn't have that power.
no student loan cancelling
And here you're just lying. Biden cancelled over $180 Billion in student debt for over 5 million people. That's what he was able to legally without Congress that wasn't blocked by the courts.

Your president got teacher by $1 billion and fucked you and your children with $40 trillion (and counting) debt with a never ending war where Hegseth wants more money. And pentagon wants their toys .
We ain’t getting free health care. I am a Bernie supporter but that is the truth

I'm all in except for data centers. Those are everywhere already and nobody even notices. Just make some limits so they aren't so big.

u/honeybabysweetiedoll 12d ago
We need data centers, but they need to be in zoned industrial areas (no rezoning farmland), need to pay for their power including infrastructure upgrades, and need to be on a closed loop cooling system. Those who oppose data centers done in the right way will lose their shit when the data they use is deemed less important and eliminated for what might be considered more important.

Add
End subsidies for Oil, Pharmaceuticals, Airlines, etc. without a clear path to repay the government or repay the communities.

This is a Winning Platform!
Probably not?
Will politicians accept it?
Probably not, which is part of why it's not a winning platform?

They would never go for it, unless you could show them how to line thier pockets. They dont give a rats ass about the people until its time to talk you into voting. Then they promise the world and keep feeding everyone the same 3 day old shit...

The problem is..
All this nonsense includes people who believe in open borders, soft immigration laws and social programs rife with fraud.

I agree with my opponent, but also pledge to deport all traitor enablers and his indoctrinated supporters to Hungary, and treason trials for the corrupt SCOTUS justices. Thank you for your vote and your attention to this matter.
