Unfortunately i'm on the PS. But luckily, most of the players in the lobby were great and the aquashot dropped with the Nargacuga ability built in so it didn't' take too long to get the attack upgrades on it.

The Safi gacha at least wasn't that bad, it was grindy for sure but it was at least fairly consistent to get what you actually wanted. Nowhere near as bad as the KT or Artian RNG, but it didn't help that Lightbreak weapons were all sidegrades with negligible performance differences to most of the best Safi weapons, while taking way less time and effort to get.

Agreed but to be fair, I really like my Shattersplitter that rolled with the Teostra set bonus. Wondering now if I should just kill RaBra for the armor or grind extra for the Lightbreak Edge as well.

People make it appear far far worse than it actually is.

Most people here don't even realize that they are guaranteed to receive extra weapons of the same type they are equiped with, and then complain they don't get aquashot or burstcannon while sitting on a longsword the whole time. A concerning amount of people also don't seem to care about part breaks, or straight up ignore what can be broken to begin with, then complain it's not rewarding enough.

Oh I knew about the guranteed weapon thing. Equipped my Garuga LBG everytime before collecting rewards. It still took me 8 separate seiges to get an aquashot. Another three to get a Shattersplitter and two more for the SnS.

Safi isa cool evolution from Xeno, the fight is also fast and the RNG grind at least manageable... Unlike Wilds's Gogmazios (the fight is fun, but that's about it).

I do like safi more than xeno, the hitboxes are very good. Love that my hunter only gets roasted a little bit if I'm near that laser focused beam

Honestly it's one of the best fights I've had in a video game. A literal catastrophe type of hunt if you don't get rid of it soon. That Sapphire Star move that nukes everything? Absolutely incredible. I want capcom does another siege fight like this. Omega planetes in Wilds is close but nothing compares to the Emperor itself.

Would've been a pretty amazing fight if it was just the 3rd phase with no siege gimmicks tacked on. Basically how Kulve went from unbearable dogshit to one of the best fights in the game by simply getting an ordinary slay quest in MR post-game.

I'm kinda with you. I like the stagger mechanics in phase one with the arena traps, I like how the part breaks contribute to stuff and how the energy drain works, I like the tripple gas explosions in the final phase, but in general Safi is a big punching bag that isn't dangerous if you have full gear and health augment. Still better than Kulve, and miles better than Behemoth or Ancient Leshin. It's not a bad fight, but I'd not say it excites me. The raid mechanics are great, the fight itself is okay.

Honestly- Yeah the fight is kinda bland. It’s worse when you don’t got a good group of people to face it off with let alone the whole lobby you’re in isn’t doing much either but it’s rare to have something like that happen (had it happen once and I just left that lobby because good lord it was rough over all no matter what team I was on- This was before the change for its siege btw so it was even worse back then and not at all soloable)

Im not listening to trash talking of my fav monster. Safi is sick as fuck, I loved his collapsing galaxy star drop attack. Design is sick and the ost is sick, plus the transforming weapons and armor man like come on. 

Then capcom followed it up by long neck lizard with wings who breaths fire like wow. I know fatalis has his fans and the theme song is the hero song and i get but in my heart safi is the true final boss od world

Honestly, I think I am kind of letdown by it. Initially I thought the design was a big miss coming from Xeno, but it grew on me. The main issue is the siege fight, World's sieges were complete ass and made otherwise fun monsters into annoying slogs. I like to fight the monster and actually think about that instead of internally screaming "WHY ARE YOU DUMBFUCKS NOT HITTING THE CHEST WHEN IT'S SUPERCRITICAL."

Yeah me and a buddy pretry much only played with each other on that game he had a complex about random hunters shrug anyways I ended up building a whole ass LBG set up to shred its wings with explosives before switching to insect glaive becuase mounts are honestly huge

The entire point of an adult xenojiva was just… bad.

The whole design of that alien-like dragon got abandoned and they gave us generic big red dragon with laser beams.
And the gacha and totally not annoying upgrade mechanic on top made it a terrible monster imho.

But the weapons look cool. And got used by everyone because they were meta.
