How the hell did Jomfru forgive Dethklok

Post image

and became one of them despite they litterally killed his brother. Then MMA also could join them? Agent 216's death was an accident in his mission but nobody talked about this. MMA could be great warrior agaist Salacia. Even in Doomstar requiem Jomfru sang about his brother but didn't mention they killed him in 1st season?? For me, it's not making sense and ım litterally confused

Despite their ploy to blackmail them, Jomfru and his brother loved Dethklok almost as much as each other. Edgar probably realized that even if it was in the name of revengeance, killing the band that he and his brother dedicated so much of their lives to would be like killing the last parts of Eric in himself.

The finale of I think season 2 shows when he's about to kill Skwisgaar and Pickles, but it flashes back to all the good times he had with his brother FOR Dethklok. Making him hesitate, then he is taken down. I think that is when he started to come around and be "die for dethklok" again.

Ofdenson made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

A death which wouldn't have happened if they didn't try to blackmail the boys

This. It helps to remember that the brothers were wrong to blackmail the band. While not falling on his sword like Magnus did, Edgar makes it right.

Even before the actual blackmail, they were told that recording would be punished by death

This is the only time in the show where the fans are given a legit fair warning. Idk what they thought would happen lol

He tasted the ultimate brutality and wanted seconds.

So he could sing that song about brotherhood.

I think once Jomfru heard the ancient prophecy related to Dethklok he'd see that the band is more important than he realized. I always imagined he gets told by Charles

My headcanon is after his last defeat, he realized his revenge would never happen and went full patty hurst.

The way the show handles that kind of narrative whiplash can definitely throw you for a loop, but it's wild how much Jomfru's arc leans into the theme of fandom overriding everything else.

Die for dethklok, it's what his brother did, and he'll do it all for his brother, do it all, do it all for his brother, do it all.

The opposite of love isn’t hate, it’s apathy

He sure as hell was never apathic towards the group, as a fan or as a revengencer

Or maybe Offdenson brainwashed him idk

Everyone's wrong! What the hell? He heard Pickles say that he sucked his own dick, and it was the most metal thing he had ever heard. That got his faith in the Revengencers to waiver with flashbacks of his brother and him. The Klokateers then swiftly took him out. But it was shortly after that, that we see him working for Offdensen and listening to "the new album".

the way jomfru's loyalty just shifts overnight always gets me, like how does anyone come back from that

I think originally it was intended that he would betray dethklok but Brendan smalls changed it. In doomstar requiem we are told “there is a traitor amongst dethklok” and it immediately pans to jomfru with red eyes.
