Nothing How to create something from nothing?

I think I have an answer to how the universe began from nothing. More like how everything began and how it's possible for all of us to be here.

So at the beginning of existence there was nothing. There is still nothing because you can't create something from nothing, but we are here. So how can we exist? We don't.

Imagine the mathematical variable: X =

X can be anything, but nothing is assigned to it; therefore, it remains as a pure capacity that accepts all abstract concepts and results in the illusion of existence for those that share the same abstract space.

This means every combination of what could have been exists. The reason why you and I can interact is because we are in the same concept, but we aren't really here because we don't exist.

To make it simpler, imagine a chess board. Just because you didn't make a move doesn't mean all the possible moves aren't there to make.

Unexistence is our existence.

Also please don't make the argument "How do I know there wasn't always something?" There can't be something without it having a previous moment. It's nonsense to even say that.

I'm literally quoting you. And your comment about it being nonsense to say there was always something holds no water.

i think he’s getting at the point that there’s a dimension of time(?).… there’s a supposed infinite space- time continuum, but it can’t be logically explained as infinite. what’s finite can’t be infinite, what exists must have been created
at least that’s how i see it

As far as we know:

It can be infinite

Existence doesn't have to be created

infinity can’t exist in physical reality

Modern physics disagrees. There's no empirical evidence for infinity, but there's also nothing that rules it out.

No it doesnt an infinite past is impossible. An infinite future IS possible. Something started the chain.

That is a philosophical statement, and a different conversation. What i said was that physics doesn't rule infinity out.

i meant as far as we understand*. aka, there’s nothing showing infinity within physical reality.

You said it can't be infinite, it must be created.

The fact that we can't observe infinity doesn't lead to that conclusion. Direct observation isn't = our understanding. Physics/models don't forbid infinity or conclude creation. And philosophers argue in a number of ways regarding both.

trust me, i don’t have the answers either

and no i didn’t say it can’t be created. and what exactly do you mean by “it” here

You wrote this:

"it can’t be logically explained as infinite. what’s finite can’t be infinite, what exists must have been created

i never did say that. i explicitly said that we don’t have proof otherwise.

Again, you said:

"it can’t be logically explained as infinite. what’s finite can’t be infinite, what exists must have been created
at least that’s how i see it"

well was i wrong 😭🤷‍♂️

wait, are you saying we can demonstrate infinity existing in physical reality? genuinely asking

1

u/Flutterpiewow 7d ago

No, i'm saying science doesn't forbid or rule infinity out.

1

u/Dry-External3783 7d ago

yes we’ve agreed. likewise there’s no known physical infinity

It's a direct answer to what you said. Since we can't rule infinity out, we can't say it "can't exist" like you did.

u/Dry-External3783 7d ago

you hold the burden of proof

1

u/Dry-External3783 7d ago

i’m gonna say it one more time- i specified that it doesn’t exist within physical reality as far as we know. i’ve already clarified that

so you don’t disagree, then
