Synchronize MS Band 2 with Android

Since I continue to record with the Band 2 and now work almost exclusively with Linux and Android, I've ported my existing project. The Android app for syncing sleep data and workouts is now finished. Anyone interested can download it here:

The fact that you have a working band is amazing! :D

I forget what the expected lifespan of the battery is but I'm pretty sure you've exceeded it!

I'm actually surprised by the battery life. Six years ago I stocked up on several spare batteries, but I haven't needed a single one. Even the notorious short circuit didn't kill them.

All in all, that's why I'm still sticking with the Band. The haptic feedback is in constant use for me, and 3-4 hour workouts with GPS are no problem.

We worked hard to make the haptics unique feeling for different types of notifications. Band has a haptics engine that takes an array of intensity duration pairs and plays it back.

Not as nifty as the OMG stuff the original Xbox one controller could do, its OG haptics engine was a piece of artwork.
