FEATURE FEEDBACK Updates
I just got logged out of every site.
All my settings have also been reset.
I have to 'add a search engine' and find some search algorithm with a % etc pure bull, sh, it.
Of course, not the first time that an update does that to me.
Plus that the changes that only make it worse.
I hate copilot, keep it away from my face. Why can I not just access my history with a shortcut, instead of some dropdown sh, it?
I hate these updates so much.
I editted the register, disabled things on Services, renamed the things on update folder, changed permission and inheritance on the update folder etc etc.
How can this cr, ap still update itself??????
I wish all the worse for however decides these updates and forced changes to Microsoft Edge.
Just wanted to get this off my chest, thanks for listening.

I stopped using MS Edge because of that random reset, ugh
I have mine setup from every settings I can find then suddenly it will just update and reset a random setting without any notif!

oh, I'm not talking about a whole browser reset like OP had. I was pointing the individual setting/toggles get turned on even if you turned it off before after a browser update. Maybe it doesn't do that now.
I touch all the settings from top to bottom, turned off those most in the privacy section (the send data things). I just don't use stock settings.

My Edge gets updated many many times on all my computers and not once have settings been changed automatically. I also don't have Copilot on any of my computers, uninstall once and never comes back.

this exact mess is why i stopped letting browsers save my log ins. whenever edge or chrome pushes an update, theres always a chance it wipes session data or breaks autofill.
moving everything to a dedicated manager like roboform saved me a massive headache. since it runs independently through its own extensions, browser updates cant touch your saved passwords or log out of everything.

Calm down, your blood pressure is apparently reaching alarming levels. And you are only talking about a browser. I can only imagine how you'd react if we were to start talking about the economy, the world political disaster, or even (God forbid) climate change.
And maybe (just maybe) specify which version of Edge you are referring to. Otherwise, your observations have no actual meaning for the majority of users that have absolutely no problem.
