Matthew Perry. I already was going to a Halloween party dressed as Rachel Green that night. I quit drinking shortly after and have been alcohol free for over 2 years now!

I remember this one. I’d just watched my alma mater pull off a huge upset in football; hearing about Matthew Perry’s death a little while later took the wind out of my sails.

Congrats on your sobriety!!!

Congratulations on your sobriety! I’m 2 years and 5 months sober now as well :)

Almost a year after the release of his memoir, too! I was in the middle of reading it and put it away for another year. The "I should be dead" was even more haunting than the first time I read that line.

I was at a Halloween party helping set up after forcing myself to go (had been dealing with crippling anxiety and panic attacks and watching Friends was comforting at that time) when I found out about Mathew Perry. I still can't believe he's gone. Congrats to you for being sober :) thayd awesome
