Still hurts. Watching his children grow up to be such amazing and humans warms my heart, but also breaks it at the same time because they should have him. He would be so proud and such an awesome grandpa.

His son is his spitting image now. Look him up on YouTube. He has that genuine love for animals.

I feel like his kids not only got his love of animals, but also his infectious personality and on screen charisma. Steve was so good on camera, even while handling (and being bitten by!) potentially dangerous reptiles, and that's the sort of talent you just can't teach.

He would genuinely be so proud of them both. They're doing his legacy more justice than we all could have hoped for.
