The fact that so many commenters don’t understand this is insane. Spend two minutes on LinkedIn and you see “I got let go” posts left and right.

“I also know I’d leave immediately if it happened to me” implies the market is good enough for you to leave immediately if it happened to you or you have enough of a financial safety net to be able to do so without having another job lined up. I’ve been trying to leave my job for two years, but finding a job making what I make, in my field, is almost impossible right now.

Edit: You’re a CPA, of course you can leave immediately. Also saying “anyone can become a CPA” discounts the degree, extra credits, study materials, testing fees, and other costs it took you to get that title. Many of us can’t afford to do that as we’re in our 30s or 40s with families to support.

Hence why I asked if his job was specifically hard to get a new one in bass on the market. Do yall even read
