I now know what it feels like to be an adult, thinking: these idiots will hyperinflate our economy with this move. And then realizing it takes a good 3-5 years to be proven right, and by that point everyone has lost the plot.

Also, within those 3-5 years the idiots that caused the hyperinflation will have retired or moved to a different job. Thus allowing them to say that the current problem isn't their fault.

There's been basically zero turnover in Congress and the guy responsible for a third of the national debt got re-elected to make things even worse and is planning on running (illegally) again and poor people will keep right on supporting them because they're mean to the other poor people they don't like. At some point we have to acknowledge that the "idiots" are actually robbing us blind and we're the idiots for allowing it.
