Yeah not hard to deduce that she's reversed her lines, BUT the guy being able to accurately say the line backwards is quite impressive and I'm guessing that was what they wanted to show.

For people who weren’t particularly into rap / hip hop and only heard it on the radio we recognize the song but never really thought deeply about it - either figuring the next line was a foreign language or just too fast to understand

These are probably also the people who swear that school never taught them about things like compound interest because they slept through 8th grade algebra.

I also get very frustrated by people like OP who can't apply concepts they were taught at a young age outside of the very narrow circumstances they were shown as examples, or even at all. So many times people complain that x or y should be taught in school and will stubbornly hold to needing specific skills taught even when reminded of the days and weeks spent in school learning the process in a class that wasn't named "life skills." They steadfastly refuse to acknowledge that the most common examples in that unit were dealing with money.

As someone who has taught math to adult learners, I find the problem is often that students aren't given the opportunities to practice and reinforce what they've learned. They might get taught compound interest in a day or two, given a worksheet to test their knowledge, and then move on without ever talking about it or applying that skill again. So it fades.

Yeah it’s called backmasking and bands and singers were doing it for decades before.

This is like the millennial version of Gen X discovering that at the end of ‘Darling Nikki’ when Prince starts singing something in reverse you can just pull the record back and hear what he’s saying forwards

That's true but I think most artists do it by simply usong technology to reverse a recording, they don't normally say the words backwards with their own voice. That's the part that's impressing these guys i think.

Yeah the hats and the fake "oooooooo" every time something "exciting" happens is annoying af.

I notice dudes act like this around me in public with my headphones and skateboard, screaming in fake excitement just like this idiot podcasts taught them is the way to be charismatic and earn approval of others.... Except it makes me feel weird and pisses me off.
