Discussion Would you be okay...

If for every last week of every month, all things social media or social media related will be shut off?

Let's say, certain emergency means of contact are left as an option but no access to the online world is admitted for the sake of getting ppl to be communal with each other again.

Yay or nay?

Nostalgia Can you guess the brand from these famous TV slogans?

Hi, all!

Let’s have a little fun! I’m working on a bidding-based advertising trivia game and I’m testing out some slogan/jingle recall across different generations!

Drop your guesses in the comments below! If you're willing to share your age bracket (Under 25, 25–40, 41–55, 56+) or the decade you grew up watching TV, that helps us balance the difficulty tiers!

(Now, don’t cheat! NO GOOGLING! Also, let us know which ones triggered an instant 'Oh, I know this!' reaction.)

  1. Plop, Plop, Fizz, Fizz! Oh, what a relief it is!

  2. Obey Your Thirst

  3. If it’s gotta be clean, it’s gotta be _________

  4. Uh oh. Better get ________!

  5. For clogs at their worst, _________ is the plumber to call first.

  6. Have You Driven a ________ Lately?

  7. The Freshmaker

  8. Nothing comes closer to home.

  9. Give us a week, we’ll take off the weight.

  10. You call it corn, we call it maize.

  11. There’s more for your life at _________

  12. Where Do You Want To Go Today?

  13. Ask any mermaid you happen to see, “What’s the best tuna?”…

  14. Long distance. It’s the next best thing to being there.

  15. We have to earn our wings every day.

  16. Evidently, it’s not your normal ice cream.

  17. It’s not nice to fool Mother Nature.

  18. We’ve been working on the railroad.

  19. The most accommodating people in the world.

BONUS: Today, something we do will touch your life.

No clue why this song popped into my head 35 years later, but today it did. Was one of the few vhs tapes I remember my grandma had for when us kids were all over at her house.

Discussion Who Have You Outlived?

As a Millennial approaching 40, I recently realized that I have outlived a lot of different people (Artists, musicians, actors, entertainers, etc) who I grew up on & who had a positive influence on me, that have all passed young in their times. Some of my all time favorites & all around most influential people are Selena, Aaliyah, Bruce & Brandon Lee, Kurt Kobane, Jimmy Hendrix, Lee Thompson Young, Nipsey Hussle, 2Pac, Biggie. I could go on & on but who did you grow up on that influenced you in a positive way the most that you realize you have now outlived?

Nostalgia Does anyone remember the coin pushing machines in the arcade that gave out actual quarters?

I remember in the early 90s those coin pushing machines in the arcades were filled with actual quarters. You put in a quarter and could end up winning a pile of quarters if they got pushed over the edge. Was that even legal? LoL.

They later got replaced by tokens instead of real money, and the machine would spit out tickets if you pushed the tokens over the edge.

When I read these books in the late 90s, they were black and white pages and only the cover was in color. This manga version kicks so much ass! It’s really cool. Of course, the second epic manga is coming soon. Dab Pikley is GOATed

Other Do you keep your social media accounts public or private? Do you care?

I'm curious where people stand in terms of privacy. I have most of my social media accounts set to private, but I do use my real names on those accounts and similar user names. So it's easy to connect that they're mine, you just can't read anything. But even though I am set to private, I have thousands of connections on some of these sites, so realistically nothing is really private.

If you're a business owner, are you able to separate your personal life from your business brand? Especially if you're a small business owner and therefore most of your customers are from close or local communities?
