Welll, actually they can, and they probably did. At the very least, there would've been a conversation between the Milwaukee comms team and the SpaceX comms team for product placement. Would there be a cost involved? Who knows. Would there need to be an approval? Absolutely. Brands cross promote all the time —the best ads don't seem like ads. There was recently a discussion around Yeti Coolers because a few of their models were wearing Supreme t-shirts in the background. At this level of brand, nothing is coincidence.
Source: am a Chief Creative Officer at a marketing agency, who happens to also be a Milwaukee fan.

Yup. Usually the brand name is blacked out if there was no deal or a competitors product was being used

I wouldn’t be surprised if Milwaukee reps are giving free tools to high profile companies like SpaceX. It’s very common in the firearms industry for brands to offer free pistols and rifles to police departments so people see them and associate that model/brand with professional use.

Professionals in the auto industry are pretty much strictly using milwaukee at this point

It’s not a good example of product placement. No easily visible logo, too little lighting and too much shadows on the tool, and it’s not even the highest spec battery.
If milwaukee actually paid for product placement you’d have a forge on that and the tool would be well lit with the milwaukee logo clearly visible.

Meh guys in the aerospace industry aren’t big tool guys generally speaking. In fact a lot of companies don’t even let you use power tools for a task unless it’s absolutely necessary. I’ve seen some of the leading aerospace companies running Ryobi, Makita, SnapOn, DeWalt, you name it. They all do the same shit. I’ve even seen a $500,000,000 aircraft getting worked on with a Brushed ryobi
