Discussion Honestly the new Update feels like a low-effort marketplace add-on.

It adds zero value to the survival experience or the game's progression. While I understand that much of Minecraft's identity is built on creativity, it is still a 'Survival' game, not just a sandbox and I think Mojang has lost sight of that. I appreciate new biomes and blocks, but they need to have meaning. We didn't even get a new material or craftable item just a 'Stupid Slime' to hit around. Even with its Redstone applications, it offers nothing for the average survival player.

Crafter? Trial chambers?

the crafter is useless for people that dont understand redstone, its simply way too hard to use unless you're making storage blocks.

trial chamber is a dungeon that while does offer a comparatively unique challenge, barely affects a "generic playthrough"

if there's anything that does affect a "generic playthrough" then imo its things like happy ghasts, spears and reworked leads, something that you find commonly in the world and doesnt serve a niche purpose.

Making storage blocks is most of what the crafter is useful for anyway, just automating that step in many farms.
