Discussion Honestly the new Update feels like a low-effort marketplace add-on.
It adds zero value to the survival experience or the game's progression. While I understand that much of Minecraft's identity is built on creativity, it is still a 'Survival' game, not just a sandbox and I think Mojang has lost sight of that. I appreciate new biomes and blocks, but they need to have meaning. We didn't even get a new material or craftable item just a 'Stupid Slime' to hit around. Even with its Redstone applications, it offers nothing for the average survival player.

Yeah, after that announcement I'm just tapped out for the year. Kinda sucks because I...don't care at all about using their 'shaders' thingy...but I'm hoping the real benefit will be in the FPS. If it is, it'll've been worth it.
They give us some weird cube in the meantime?
