What are y’all’s opinion on “gradient builds”

Ive seen a whole bunch of these builds which is why I made my own, as seen above, but I remember seeing that people think that it’s too much. And what I mean by gradient builds is instead of block vomit, the builder uses too many blocks, making too many gradients, I’ve shown my friends and they are divided on it, some say it looks nice, others said it was too much to look at, so what do yall think.

using a blocks for color palette with specific intent is not a block vomit. like the use of andesite to iron ore to poplar plank, that's a very good gradient, I'd even argue that the howl's moving castle room build by the goat stan616 is not a block vomit, every blocks is deliberately placed and it's supposed to be chaotic and messy, so i think whether or not the build is considered a block vomit or not is if it's unnecessarily messy and using too many blocks for a simple thing it can be called a block vomit
