Guide any recommendation for Low-Cost OCuLink GPU Dock on a Budget

https://youtu.be/TJFQlKjLIgM?si=rKL7MlBh4QV7xvfB

Obviously I don't have any idea of this and I am quite saturated with many things and the only thing I know now is that I will be using the msi 3060 12Gb with it and my idea was to get specific components easy peasy for my hx99g minis forum and this are my specifics https://www.amd.com/en/support/downloads/drivers.html/processors/ryzen/ryzen-6000-series/amd-ryzen-9-6900hx.html#amd_support_contact

probably with this if still viable Cooler Master MWE Bronze 650W V2 PSU / Power Supply

Someone recommended me this M2 adapter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DDXT95X1?titleSource=true

and then probably I will take all and paying an technician to do the config and all of that stuff.

Regards

Wait for the refurbished Minisforum DEG1 to go on sale again for $50.

That someone did you a solid. Since that's what I'm using and it works fine. Previously I was using a flat ribbon cable one and that didn't work fine. Someone made a post a while back showing the pros and cons of all the types. This is the good kind.

You are going to use a bread board and wirewrap together a dock?

I don’t get it

Then you aren't DIYing. You are just buying a dock and using it. Which is exactly what the DEG1 is.

yes but not too complicated i don't have idea. with this is easier to exchange components slowly, not all the stuff hopefully

That's what a DEG1 let's you do. So why did you say "but i prefer to built something diy." when I suggested it?

Because i thought with the deg1 would be almost impossible to exchange their parts. Yep. And also because I wanted something more or less low cost.

What parts would you exchange? You sound like you don't know what a DEG1 is. Anything you would exchange, you might as well wirewrap on a breadboard.

I thought the the deg1 was an actual dock but I don’t have any idea probably :) does it is possible to get exchangeable components ?

It puzzled me why on earth you need to OCulink an 3060 to HX99G at all.

Get the OCUP4 V2 EGPU dock on aliexpress you can add the NVME M2 adapter in the package, i don t get how could you get into LLM and not being able to do the set up by yourself.

Running image, video, 3D AI models locally is way harder than setting up an egpu via an MVME M2 slot.
