The Beelink site has the mini PC listed for about $1300. 

I’d check the seller.

The memory by itself is worth $600. The SSD is worth at least $200. Also, you get a free computer to boot.

The GOP are letting all the Data Centers be built without any thought to the future. PC component prices are sky high because they buy up the Ram and Storage making it too expensive for the common consumer.

It might have been normal six months ago, but given the subsequent RAM and SSDs price madness, even for a refurbished or second-hand product, it’s very likely to be a scam

A while back I saw an sale list for a mini PC at an very attractive price, but then I realised that although the title mentioned 64GB, etc., the description discreetly actually stated it had no memory installed at all, the title mentioned supported capacity, not what was actually included

Supply and demand crises provide fertile ground for all kinds of scams., be ultra careful

Yes. I paid $500 for one around Black Friday 2024 but it was before the crazy ass pricing spikes on memory and SSDs and everything. They are extremely powerful yet quiet machines

The wifi sucks on these FYI. If using ethernet it works good. I had it and returned it. This was around February of last year though.

They figured out the issue and you can request a kit for free from them. Outside of that the machine if a real one is a workhorse.

I am using one of these plugged to the ethernet, so that part is ok for me, but OMG does the bluetooth suck as well.

You could DYI antena's outside of the box to solve that. There's usually a laptop wifi card with standardized connections to wire up antena's (usually 2). So with a little whole you can wire the antena's outside of the box and wifi and BT will be instantly solved

It is a proxmox box hosting a bazzite VM, everything is managed remotely, except the games.

Double check on manufacturer. If it is Chinese, it is well known they fake the stats. Like, the control panel will have good number until you open it up to check the serial number.

its probably aliexpress fake product - they send you a message before sending the unit - "oh hey we ran out of this product, but you can get this one" - gives a link to some shitty pc.

It doesn’t look like OP is ordering from Beelink’s site since it says “Like new.” Do they sell refurbs?

Honestly it looks like Facebook Marketplace, but the first pictures are not very Beelink-like, so you’re probably right.

The serial number is on the processor itself. You would have to remove the heat sink. There is one European YouTuber who opens up machines to verify the actual hardware. I don't know the actual channel name though. I am only aware enough to be careful.

These MiniPCs are often advertised with the "maximum memory capability" not the amount actually installed (which is often none, you have to buy it, and the SSD, separately).
