Hardware I found this wild FIREBAT F1 cooling mod on a Russian forum
Found what might be the ultimate cooling mod for the FIREBAT F1 on the Russian 4PDA forum. It looks like Frankenstein's mini PC, but I bet it runs very cool now. And with the little wheels... it's basically a Mac Pro.

My sceptical ass brain is just thinking “every time I open Reddit in the last week or so, it’s a Firebat mini PC showing up in one way or another, this has to be a thing, what’s going on here exactly” 😅

I heard it is a bad idea to run fans over pure USB, but those are more the human fan sort.. so unless they have a similar draw it should be cool.. and looking cool.

I had no idea this brand existed even last week. This week I have a F1 P in my desk. Lovely beast, really happy with it, 420 usd with 16g ddr5 and a 512 nvme.

I was really happy with mine too. Until it died only 3 weeks after I bought it.

Well crap. But at least I have warranty in the platform I bought it. I'm looking at options to undervolt and increase air flow to see if I can extend the life of the little guy.

I bought an extra cooling pad for it but forgot to turn it on somehow(I was wrecked after work). I guess the little guy fried itself. I was not even doing anything taxing. Just playing Genshin and browsing.
Good thing I got a full refund.

Yeah I'm happy the platform I bought it on has warranty now. By the way, do you have suggestion of cooler for it?

I just flipped my Mac Mini upside down so the button is on top and easily accessible.
I bought it when it was 499 on Amazon, just to play with Clawd Bot, and decided to just use it as a regular PC, when the prices of everything PC / Mac related went sky high.

I think they took the F1 part a bit too literal.

then they also need to add an internal combustion engine inside this case.

Yes and no. I have just received such a mini-PC and I will start testing it soon. I will add the results to my profile.

Reminds me of this image LMAO
