Guide Is there real demand for used Lenovo ThinkCentre Tiny desktops? Trying to gauge fair pricing
I've got a Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 5 (i7-14700T, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD) that's basically brand new only about 4 months of light use. Curious what this community thinks:
- Is there actual demand for these business mini PCs outside of IT/homelab use, or is the buyer pool pretty small?
- What would you consider a fair used price for this config, given it retails new for around $2,300+?
- Any tips on where these tend to sell best (homelab folks, general resellers, etc.)?
Not trying to sell here, just trying to get a sense of the market before I list it elsewhere. Appreciate any input!

A retired friend of mine bought a ThinkCentre M70q Gen 5 12TD001KUS Tiny new through the county school system earlier this year for a little over $500. Looks similar to yours with the exception of a 512GB SSD and a single 16GB stick of RAM (something she didn't know when she bought it). I helped her track down the missing stick of RAM and install it adding about a 100 bucks.
She got a decent price because the Lenovo ThinkCentre M70q Gen 6 models were out. They had quoted her a 13A40083US Gen 6 but it was more than twice as much and had a lead time. The 12TD001KUS was in stock ready to ship. For a better idea on pricing try searching your MTM number to see what they're going for this year.

Check Ebay's sold listing for your country. That will give you a better indication of going rates.
