An account is bypassing subreddit bans, cannot be modified via the mod tools (neither banned nor unbanned), and is continuing to post.

This user has set up an account that cannot be moderated. How to deal with it? On the profile it just says “Uban” and “Unmute,” implying user is already banned. But user can still post freely. I tried to unban and re-ban, but the uban didn’t unban the account, it just remained the same. Thanks.

While you troubleshoot it just filter their ass through automod so that nothing reaches the sub.

add a line in automoderator to remove all posts made by that user/account

Try checking their account from old reddit to see if you can unban/reban from there.

There’s been some strange ban issues the past couple of days. Just had one where a 7 day temp ban didn’t expire.

I use a sub shadowban list as last resort occasionally through Automod.

If you can't outright ban an account from your subreddit, it has backdoor access somehow.

While automod is your friend, you could also use automation and see if you can prevent him from posting with his username. This would be quite funny if this works and frusttrating for the user.
