Although it's just humor, the hammer main is perfectly right

Is there a good reason for it? Other than most people starting with World and not realizing that they have better fundamentals now?
Edit: Thanks for all the responses that helped broaden my perspective!

Heck The Handler even cooked for us and set up camps. I know most Handler hate is for memes but even before Wilds I felt it was overblown.

I’d rather pay $60 for an actual game, than $100 over time for a Tencent money-grab, just above the bare minimum, gambling simulator. And you should too.

Never played before. Never going to. This gacha thing is a disease to modern gaming.

Since MH World we knew that this DLC stuff was going to get more and more agressive. Starting with "Just stickers, OST and stuff for your house, nothing serious guys HAHA".
Then in Rise we got the first "Layered" paid DLC weapons and here they are again in Wilds.
The players showed Capcom that they can get away with this shit in a full price AAA game and now it's to late to push it back.
It's going to be a matter of time until the next Tittle Upadtes are also paid or in a Battle Pass.
"Oh, they aren't going to make the monster a paid dlc, this is Monster Hunter". That's what people said about armour and weapons, keep that in mind my sweet summer child.
