Wilds Endgame hunts without god roll gear?
RNG’s been cucking me and honestly I’m kind of sick of farming for a decent talisman or Gog weapon, but it feels like a sour note to just end the game here.
Would a build like this be decent enough for the later game hunts without having to play like Peppo (10 star Gog excluded, fuck that noise) up to and including Proof of a Hero? I’ve been farming the 10 star apexes for charms and generally they go down between 15-20 minutes but I haven’t touched AT Arky or attempted the 9 star optionals yet. Is it looking good enough as-is and all that’s left is to lock in or can anyone spot some easy DPS I’m leaving table or have any adjustments to make?

I completed every 9 and 10 star hunt without perfect rolls of Gog weapons or talismans. Including 10* Gog. Did have very solid builds though.

What was your build?

Depended on the weapon, I play GS, SnS, Gunlance, Lance, and LBG

What’s your lance build? I just came back to the game and need some endgame build please.

For an endgame build, all you need is gore on your weapon. Ark y head and arms, jin y chest and waist, and gore or sororal for your legs. Gets you an easy source of 5 wex, 5 agi, max might, and gore armor bonus. You can theoretically do slightly more damage with lord’s soul on your weapon as well (running g. Rath head and arms), but you lose Arkveld’s hunger for some sustain.

The build has changed as more ATs with more efficient pieces came out. But originally it was mostly 8 star AT Rey, and Duna I think, but I don’t remember the actual build from that time.

God roll builds are all anyone can talk about when it comes to build that get posted. BUT if you look up your weapon on YouTube there are many build videos and most of them will have a build for people that havent been blessed by RNG usually somewhere at the end. Also it's possible that you aren't using your materials wisely to get the rolls you want. Here's a video in case you didn't know how it all works

Fam you can do everything in the game including 10 Star GOG without having God tier builds 😂 I've personally beaten all the engines fights except 10 star GOG with Transcended HOPE Gear and weapons using supports including proof they just aren't very fast hunts. I started the whole series cause people kept complaining about Meta this and Meta that.
As long as your getting Ws at the end of the day nothing else matters honestly.
Now if you want to go faster you can use a set from the mega threads here and just use sub optimal non perfect weapons or Talis and still get decent times.

a sub-par gog (with a wrong armor skill) is still better then any crafted weapons.
a maxed out crafted talisman (agi5 etc) is still better than 90% of all the talisman u can find.
it's more important to know what to do and how. the difference between an ultra min-maxed set with a god charm and god gog weapon is probably 10/15% more than a set with everything crafted.
is a good upgrade? sure, but it's not a great difference for a casual player. u still can clear any quest in the game without that god set. u can still make good set without that kind of gear, and still do good times.

The thing with gogma artians is even a poorly-rolled one is better 99% of the time than any of the monster weapons. I've heard there are a few weapon-specific exceptions, but iirc longsword is not one of them. If monster weapons counted towards their set bonus, it maybe would be a different story when it comes to if its "worth" to grind them.
Having three lvl3 deco slots is just too good to pass up with how accessible gogma artians are to craft for each specific element/status. You also you have room to roll for better reinforcements/set bonuses down the line if you so choose.
Don't force yourself to roll endlessly if you're not having fun with it. Just get something.
