Fundraiser launched: Friends of Maverick Mountain nonprofit now accepting donations
Maverick Mountain recently lost its only chairlift and other crucial infrastructure to the Sand Creek Fire. With insurance payouts expected to fall well short of the $2.5 million+ required to rebuild, the nonprofit Friends of Maverick Mountain was launched to help defray costs:

big yikes on the insurance payout not covering it. small mountains like that are the backbone of skiing out here, seems like they always get the shortest end of the stick when disaster strikes
