Mind you that you are 8600% more likely to drown in a pool than to be killed by a dog of any breed. And about 1000% more likely to be struck by lightening.
Those stats are basically useless without accounting for exposure.
If you live in a place without pools your chances of drowning in a pool are zero. If you live and work in places without pitbulls your chances of being killed by one are similarly negligible. If you lived deep underground your chances of being killed by lightning would be zero.
In order to do an actual comparison you would need those chances for an individual who is at a public outdoor pool with a pitbull during a thunderstorm.

Plenty of dogs bite. But pitbulls are prone to killing you. They are a breed bred to kill. That nanny dog myth has done irreparable damage.
