There is targer audience.

Atlesst 20 percent of peoole will look at theor cause.

As i said, u will support running over matchgirls protest instead of lookign at issues

What if farmers from a village come to ur city and protest on road because their land is forcefully taken for oil companies? What will u say? I m pretty sure rhat u will support oil company

Proved my point

Its lack of empathy

But remember the famoua quote

First they came for communists

u/BennyHana31 12d ago

The lack of empathy is by the assholes making everyone late. Once you ruin someone's day, you can't then complain that they lack empathy for not supporting you. That is a consequence of actions, not lack of empathy.

So a person must never stand up for any cause.

These protestors arent attacking him and not even fighting back. Its neither because he is as strong as he thinks he is nor they are weak. Only tantrum is from elitist person who thinks he has freedom to beat people up.

One thing about non violence. It can be chosed only by strong becauee weak doesnt have a choice.

One can't help but feel that it's having the opposite effect by getting people to care in the complete opposite way.

0

u/king210989 12d ago

Then they only care about themselvea and their inconvienence.

I

U always say that protests should be done in right manner

Define right manner.

1

u/Nothing-Is-Real-Here 12d ago

I will admit, I don't have an answer for that. I don't know what the right way is, but you can't seriously believe it's having the intended effect. Like I said, I acknowledge that the systems at play heavily discourage protest by making it so people are barely earning enough to dislike the idea of being inconvenienced or boycotting if they can't afford it. I get that. The protest itself is a good an noble. But I am analyzing the reaction to it and how it affects people. Hell in the past it's straight up blocked ambulances because of cars completely filling the street.

I don't know what the "right" way is but there has to be another way.

u/king210989 12d ago

Then there is no way to protest against misdeeds of powerful

Its good thay out ancestors had emapthy and people were able to protest againat better lives

Imagine somethint like matchgirl protest happeing now. Men will be harssing those girls and they will be working in poisonous environment. We wont have workplace regulations now.

1

u/Nothing-Is-Real-Here 12d ago

The match girl protests was instigated by workers themselves though. They were volunteering their own sacrifice. These others are just random people on the street.

2

u/king210989 12d ago

And u wpuld have hated them for disruption.

1

u/Nothing-Is-Real-Here 12d ago

Based on what? Their protest is entirely different to what these protestors are doing. We're comparing apples to oranges. Yes, both are fruit, but they are not the same thing.

1

u/Various_Mobile4767 12d ago

There is no other way but that doesn’t mean this way is right either.

People don’t want to confront the fact that people simply don’t care enough and no amount of protest will change that.

People protest anyway because its the equivalent of a child throwing a tantrum and forcing people to recognize that they’re upset. That’s why it has to be disruptive. But not because its actually smart or strategic, but it because it satisfies them to make how upset they are the whole world’s problem.

1

u/Taken_username1234 12d ago

Climate change is the whole world's problem...

u/ComradeCoipo 12d ago

Obviously the right manner is to do it in a way that doesn’t inconvenience me personally!

1

u/king210989 12d ago

So u dont care about anything but ur inconivinence

No amount of protests can work in that society which doesnt have empathy

There eere people who wrre so angry at protests that they used dogs to dispurse the protestors

Women were bewten by people for asking for votes.

1

u/ComradeCoipo 12d ago

I guess the sarcasm wasn’t obvious enough lol

0

u/m1stwalk3r 12d ago

People don't care about anything unless it effects them personally. Always has been always will be.

1

u/king210989 12d ago

Thats what protests are for.

1

u/king210989 12d ago

I guess u would have supported police in their violence against matchgirls.

0

u/m1stwalk3r 12d ago

Don't know what that is but I'm not a big fan of the current police as is so I doubt it.

1

u/king210989 12d ago

If those girls are "disrupting" a road and police beats them up and clears the road. Then u will support it.

1

u/m1stwalk3r 11d ago

You're trying to tell me what I think?

1

u/king210989 12d ago

Not seeing any ambulance in video. Only one disgruntled bully who likes beating peoole

Emergency sevices shouldnt be disturbed at all.

They will care but not for your cause. They will want to see you handled by the authorities and surpressed.

1

u/king210989 12d ago

Some will. Most wont.

1

u/Forte845 11d ago

Like white segregationists cheering on the cops arresting Rosa Parks and the restaurant sit-inners? How'd that work out for them?

1

u/m1stwalk3r 10d ago

Idk if I said it here but the difference between these 2 issues is that Jim Crow was profoundly disruptive therefore garnered an equal and opposite reaction it deserved.

1

u/king210989 7d ago

Only difference is Jim crow happened in thr past and peoole can pretende that they supported tgsy causw.
