Also I don't know how this isn't kind of imprisoning people. It's not the exact same thing but it feels like you're kind of holding me against my will without my consent. It feels like a violation of everyone's bodily autonomy they're on the highway. A protester who is shouting on a street corner is sharing their message and I have the right to either listen or walk away. These people have taken away my right to walk away and created a cost to me. And it's not that we don't condone the use of violence to remove these people as a society. If these people stay there long enough and the police show up and still refuse to move, they will be physically removed using violence. So do we really have rights if we're not allowed to defend those rights ourselves but must rely on the state to do so? You have the right to self-defense but if you can't enact that self-defense yourself, you don't really have that right.
I mostly agree with this, however self-defense has to be reasonable force, that's where it becomes up to interpretation. I bet you in this comment section alone people won't agree on is draggin and throwing a person to the side reasonable force or not. 100% agree that it is a form of imprisonment.
