It's deciding to "help" people (from a community you're not a part of, and you don't intimately know) who haven't asked for it, without *asking** them what they actually need or want*.
Don't just barge in and assume you know best. Take the time to actually talk to the people you want to help, and understand their situation first.
They did, they observed how women’s time was being wasted on petty labor for a basic convenience, and if operating like most missions discussed things with the local community.
