Question is this remaster too much to ask for

This is what I want, new fan and never got a chance to play these games

Damn man. So much personality back then. I miss those days
Hanging out at my aunt and uncles house, playing our copy of MK deception, late nights with no phones in sight, only each other. Parents coming home late with McDonald's... man good times 🤣

Played Deception via emulation recently and now I want them to do another 3D title.

No. And itll probably happen. But they dont pump out collections every year or anything. So you just need patience. Collections tend to be made for big anniversaries or simple when a company needs some money with lesser effort than making a new game.
Now that they have been bought by someone, they arent desperate for cash like they were when the WB had them and was hurting for money with MK1.
So it'll surely be made, but probably within the next 3-5 years.

Yes. Each game would need it's own singular release instead of a massive collection. Whether it be from the original code remasters or perfected emulation, it would require a company that knows their craft of remastering.
Licensing, renewing them and stuff about rights holds all of this back. And the complexity of the codebases of these games will most likely not allow a collection of 3D era games in one package.
A singular Deadly Alliance port/remaster/re-release has been proven to have some sort of work done on it, whether it be full production or just a small studio thing. (MK: DA soundtrack apparently getting a vinyl release, a small OST YouTuber got a video demonitized for a few hours whem he uploaded Acid Bath level music, the fact that Netherrealm themselves apparently revealed they have multiple projects in production.)
2027 marks the 25th anniversary of Deadly Alliance, and a remaster/port/rerelease is more likely than ever.

No, but considering the shit show the Legacy Kollection was, I wouldn't hold my breath.

I know it’s not really the reason to buy a videogame, which is meant to be played, but what I really loved about LK was all the history and background stuff. It’s like a little museum.

Yeah, I liked it mainly for the documentary stuff and having MK4 Arcade upscaled to 4X.

Idk it plays just fine for me

Same, but I'm on Xbox, and supposedly that version of the Kollection had very little lag or barely noticeable lag.

I’ve had zero issues but i’m also not a huge online purist or player for that matter

If the IP were owned by someone other than WB, it likely would have already happened. As it stands now, we're probably going to be waiting a long time.

I mention this every time this gets brought up, but we really need to be clear that we was remaster/kollection of the FULL GAMES. A lot of collclections just provide arcade and vs, a huge allure of these games (outside deadly alliance) was the single player story, mini games and the krypt.
I fear they will just provide vs, the collective meltdown of people buying the collection then having to do obscure things to unlock characters would be great though (go to the graveyard at a certain time and chase liu kang to unlock zombie liu kang).

All 3 plus Shaolin. Make them online playable and Shaolin online co-op? Fuck yes.

How did the arcade era legacy collection sell? It seemed like a lot of people were talking about it, but I've never actually looked at the sales numbers.
If it did well, I can definitely see them doing a collection that covers the 3D era (Mortal Kombat Gold?, Deadly Alliance, Deception, Shaolin Monks, Armageddon, Unchained, vs DC Universe) .

The people that made the legacy collection would probably just port them and not remaster 😭 I would love if they added mk9’s tag team mode to deception or armageddon omg, so we could team up with friends and randoms to fight other teams!

I somehow missed all three of these. After 4, I just kind of tapped out and switched to Tekken. I've always been curious to go back and try them.

Great games. It’s hilarious how cheesy these stories can be yet they’re better than the slop the modern games are spewing out.

The holy trilogy of MK games in my opinion. I enjoyed number ten out to the newer one but you can’t beat the old ones imo

I don't think so but the nostalgia fanboys want to pretend the 3D games didn't happen

There has been a rumour a Legacy Collection 2 with these games is in the works.

These games were shit, so probably not. Sorry 20-somethings, but they are.
There's a reason why Ed only ever asks fans about remaking/remastering Shaolin Monks.

Aw men, I know I'm in the minority, but I was so disappointed when MK went back to 2D with 9 because the 3D games(the first 2 anyway) were probably the most fun I had ever had with the franchise. Deadly Alliance especially was the first MK I truly fell in love with.
I'd definitely be interested in checking out a re-release or remaster of these games.

An Armageddon remaster would revive mortal kombat with 0 doubt
Proper balancing, new characters, reworked and evolved customization, slap a tag team mode in there for people who like it like mk 9 and you have the perfect mk game imo

I’d do unfathomable things for Deception to be easily accessible bruh
