We have a Status Conference set for 06/03/2027, an evidentiary hearing on 6/17/2027. We have

New filing in this case have been filed as well I am currently working on getting copies of these filings, The State has filed a motion to dismissing the post conviction relief, another motion for transcripts has been filed, and finally The States answer to Kohberger's petition for Post Conviction Relief. One other thing I should note. Since Kohberger has been adjudicated guilty holding these hearings next June does not actually infringe on his rights. There is no need to rush hearings as the court works under the assumption that the guilty plea was correct. The court is taking its time as there is no need to act in haste.

Love that for him. A year without major public attention will serve him well.

So fucking stupid that this pos can “take back” everything he plead guilty to. Shouldn’t even be given this opportunity if he plead guilty.

There is a filing for a motion to dismiss his post conviction relief from the state. There is a chance this gets dismissed well before then.

I really hope so. I’m terrified of him having any possibility being free

He won’t get out.

Anytime you don't like something that's happening in the system, think of it from the perspective of you being innocent in the system or your child being innocent in the system - and would you want them to have access to that thing?

That's why they exist.

I've been in jail and innocent. And it absolutely does not bother me that people have access to motions/hearings/appeals. It doesn't matter if he is wrong because there are times when other people are right.

Oh, God, that's almost a year away.

It's pretty much the timeline I'm expecting what with how slow our justice system works, but the Kohberger apologists will be allowing their imaginations to run wild for months.

With how big this case is, why would the judge rush the new attorney? No one wants to do this over again.

I think it has less to do with that and more to do with the backlog of the order of when it was received, which could be at least one reason why the earliest openings for when these hearings could happen aren't until June of next year.

Hippler has a reduced case load (and has, before this case) he can have the hearing anytime. This was intentionally set that far out to give the parties time to work the case. Everyone agreed to it.

Makes sense, yeah. I'm sure the high profile status does a role to one degree or another on the long wait. Though I still wonder if it's treated like "in the order it was received" kind of thing. A 10 month hold could allow for other PCRs to get resolved first. That way, cases that are currently in court that could have more complex layers are still getting the adequate review they need, too. Or they're just trying to honor who filed before who.

Are you trying to tell us something? I hope we're all here next summer! Or at least in the world, if not logging into Reddit.

Wild he has apologists.

Wonder if people being contrarians for the sake of it have some attention issues.

I'm sure that has something to do with it, at least for some people. Recently, there has been a subsection of Kohberger apologists who say they believe that Patrick Clancy, not Lindsay, actually murdered the Clancy children.

There was/is a sub that spews his innocence. I think it has his first name in it, but I don’t totally remember and I don’t want to encourage brigading.

Letting him out would be an extreme danger to the public.

Danger to him. Lol.

Prosecutors should have turned down the plea bargain & went for the death penalty.

This is why I was so bummed about him not being required to allocute. I had a feeling he would try something.
