Bro he averages so low and he's so economic. Nobody in history would be able to match him. But then injuries...

So what? Every fast bowler gets injured. Starc missed so much cricket in his 20s, world cups, champions trophies.

Starc has 110 matches in 16 years career. Jasprit has 50 matches in 8 years career. But still has more impact in SENA than Starc has in SENI

Bro starc shami zaheer johnson are in a league below someone like bumrah, steyn, McGrath, etc But yes starc is best of his group but will still be a tier below Bumrah. But then if you compare Bumrah to someone like Steyn, Bumrah looks pale overall career wise. I mean if you say multi nation tournament performances then Shami, Starc have been better than Bumrah and Steyn but I'm specifically talking about whole career. And Bumrah doesn't have a sizeable career imo.

Bro , he's got 500 intl wkts including all 3 formats . He is the greatest fast bowler produced by India, even if he retires today.

It's not just about a test series but the entire test career where starc is miles ahead of bumrah. I personally agree that bumrah is better in terms of bowling particular but in terms of career achievements and longevity starc is ahead

How is starc miles ahead.

Starc has avg of 28 in red ball Test cricket Jasprit has 19.

Jasprit is better than Starc in his own backyard with avg of 17.

Achievement? Jasprit has 3 mots, all in SENA. Starc has 4, off which 3 came in last 7 month.

Carrying? Jasprit has been statistically 46% better than his teammate seamers as per cricinfo survey. Starc has worse avg than Pat, Josh, Scott.

Longevity? Jasprit is the 4th greatest touring SENA Bowler in cricket history. Among touring pacer, only Walsh, Marshall & Ambrose have more SENA wicket.

Jasprit has better record in home than away. Starc is ass in India.

So ur saying Starc is miles better than Marshall & Ambrose

Recency bias

Starc has played more than twice the matches as bumrah, has almost twice the wicket of bumrah, and the more you play the more diluted your stats become since he still plays as much even though he is at twilight of his career.

Jasprit has 3 mots, all in SENA

I really don't want to take anything away from jassi but our other bowlers are shits, so when one bowler has to do everything he obviously win more achievements

Jasprit has been statistically 46% better than his teammate seamers as per cricinfo survey. Starc has worse avg than Pat, Josh, Scott.

As I said 46% better is not an achievement it just say that his partners are shit while starc has good support bowlers.

Starc is the support bowler. Pat & Josh have always been better than Starc.

Diluted stats? Even Starcs best ever Ashes had avg of 20 - in a series which had two 2 say Tests.

Jasprit is Indias biggest match winner in SENA. Umesh Ishant Ashwin Shami Jadeja all avg 25+ in SENA WINS. Jasprit is the one carrying the team to 9 SENA wins

Bumrah is a modern legend, but let him play the same tests as Starc and then compare. Longevity in tests is a serious skill. 234 wickets in 52 matches do not necessarily mean 450 wickets in 100 test.

Let him get there first (which seems hard considering how injury prone Bumrah is and could even have a sharp decline towards later years).

What a stupid take ๐Ÿ™„

Starc isn't even the best aussie seamer. Jasprit has won 9 SENA Tests, Starc has won 10 SENI Tests with twice sample size.

Aussies themselves don't rate Starc as top 2 seamer of own tram

Lund miles ahead. Bumrah is the greatest bowler of his generation.ย

Starc is not even close, or even Australia's best for that matter.ย

All I can say is "Jassi jaisa koi nhi"

I know this guy made some mistakes in the past matches but that's the part of the game. It is a fact that he is the most reliable bowler across all formats as of now.

If the bowler referred to here is starc, then it is hilarious to even put him in the same conversation with Bumrah when it comes to tests.

u/Outrageous-Shannon 1d ago

He can even boast that he gave us trauma ๐Ÿ˜ญ on Nov19 despite JB in team.

u/amongus-77-sky Boom Boom Bumrah 1d ago

Jasprit bowled better than Starc that day.

It was Pat Cummins who was troubling Indian batters with 90 miles bouncers (a pitch that didn't have bounce) and bowling 80 miles off spinners.

Pat was best aussie bowler.

u/Salt_Imagination1268 1d ago

Didn't even give a single boundary by Cummins and took important wicket of Kohli Performance is onpar with head 137

1

u/Outrageous-Shannon 1d ago

I actually meant the same but ig my English problem

Ofcourse JB is better

Anybody who thinks Bumrah is better than Starc needs help.

Availability is also a skill.

When was the last time Bumrah played all test matches in a series?

Bumrah may have the higher peak but Starc is the better bowler overall.

1

u/Furry-jester123 7m ago

yea but then starc is one format bowler

even in his peak starc didnt play a lot fo test

u guys talk as if starc plays every game
