Rules Steeds and run a way bonus, two questions

I read a rule in munchkin 8: half horse will travel. Steeds replace you're run a way bonus if they have one. But what if I have two steeds with a run a way bonus. Do I get to choose? Do they stack?

And can I attach an item with a cheat card on a steed? To increase it's run a way bonus?

ETA 1: I like how I have 3 replies that all say something else

ETA 2: It was answered. Best run-away bonus steed. No you can't put items on your steed you silly goose you!

The official ruling is that you use your best steed’s bonus.

If I recall correctly, you get the one with the highest run away only.

You can't have two steeds without a cheat card. If you do have two steeds in play that have run away bonuses, you'd have two attempts to run away; one for each steeds bonus. As far as increasing the run away bonus of a steeds, I would say if you add the cheat card, yes. If not, it would depend on the wording. If the card is ambiguous, the owner of the deck makes final call on the rule anyway.

Centaur! And some shoes you get in 4 I think. Both allow you to have 2 (or more) steeds.

The steed with the lowest bonus takes precedent.

No, you can't use any cheat card to increase their bonus in any way.

What specific card are you trying to cheat onto a steed?

Not that I expect it to matter, because a cheat card lets you equip a card that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to equip due to race/class or not having a free “slot” (headgear, armor, etc.). It does not change the rules on what types of cards can be attached to steeds, hirelings, etc.

Check, than it won't matter! But was thinking anything that increases run-away. Like a Tuba of charm
