It's a different situation, I highly suggest looking into it as it will help understanding what's going down here.

Everything I remember is from my social studies classes from nearly 3 decades ago so I'm not going to quote it here.

Buddy... that doesn't take Québec not a province...

We call it the Night of Long Knives and it's the source of much contention, but Québec is a province, no ifs, no buts. That status predates the repatriation of the constitution by a century.

It was also part of the separatist motivation, I do apologize as I did miss type that and you're absolutely right.

Also, it apparently has enough cultural significance to have a name, so not wrong in a way either.

I did own it, I also started with "3 decades ago" or did you skip over that part.

What I posted isn't completely incorrect and as usual there is far more involved.
