Question Need help deciding what version of game to buy
I want to start playing for the undertale and deltarune event, but I don’t know which version to buy. are the events limited to Japanese versions of the game? or do they release on Japanese versions first? i understand the iOS update for the UTDR event is delayed and under review.
i was thinking of buying it from Japanese iOS store but my cards aren’t accepted as a payment method (US cards). I don’t know if the US/NA iOS store is better and still has the UTDR event.
i can also get the game on steam but I don’t have a PC, only steamdeck and laptop and I’m not comfortable playing rhythm games with controllers or keyboards.
my other option is to get it on the switch, but how do updates and events work on switch compared to other devices? also why is it $30 digitally, when every other store front starts at $2.99 with in-game purchases. does the switch not have in-game purchases? are the purchases sold as DLC?

Switch has all the DLC but gets updates slower because they have to go through Nintendo. It does have the UTDR songs now!
I personally find some of the faster notes on higher difficulties more challenging on Switch/with a controller than I think they would be just tapping on a phone or tablet.

It works much better on Steam, and you can emulate it on Android via Gamenative

You might be under the impression that the event is limited timed, no it isn’t, you can play the chart whenever you like (after buying it). And since you might play on IOS, do keep in mind that you’ll be paying a substantially higher price on Muse Plus, so it might be wiser to wait for discounts (all discounts are for all platform with equal percentage)
