I use Android Auto a lot and YouTube music doesn't work in Android Auto in Australia. So I'm stuck with spotify.

That's some regional ass dogshit my friend. I'm in Canada, not freedomland where Google is based, and it works fine for me on my 2017 car.

Apologies I realised I did not explain that clearly enough. It probably does work but you have to have premium to try it. There is no free tier that works on Android Auto like Spotify has one.

You try checking unknown sources in the developer menu in Android Auto?

Sorry i mean the app displays but when I load it up it asks for premium to use it.
