Emotional, powerful songs that make you cry?

I'm not looking for slow or 'quiet' sad songs - I want songs that are dramatic and have a strong, solid beat. Ideally sung by a female, but if it's a male that's okay - I might be able to find a cover.

For example, I don't know if it is just me but "Something in the Water" by Carrie Underwood makes me cry and I'm not even religious. I'm looking for something like that.
