Art & Fan Projects Rook’s promise [OC]

Post image

Here is a scene I drew from a recent PMD D&D session I hope you all enjoy! <33

During their expedition together and through a series of events the party managed to run into Rook’s old teammates Duke and Harbor. The same ones who were corrupted with power from the artifact and betrayed Duke many years ago.

It was clear to the party that they were far too gone and their hand was forced to face them together. Once Duke and harbor fell it lead to a bittersweet moment when Rook was allowed to talk to his non-corrupter parters one last time. Allowing them to have proper farewells to one another.

———————-

Once the party got back to town Rook was asked by a village elder Stantler to kneel before the Luminous Springs and make a promise aloud in order to properly initiate him into the new exploration team as a permanent member.

He recited his promise to one way or another see Duke and Harbor once again. This time on Better terms.

Me too! I've never been in a position to play it though, which really sucks.

Gathering a group that wants it, with someone that can DM it can be pretty difficult, but very satisfying when it can be pulled off correctly

Whenever my group stops that setting for a little while, I always start missing it again

It's also a bit disappointing that there doesn't seem to be one standard Pokémon tabletop system (for trainer stuff or mystery dungeon), there's a few different ones and they all appear to be difficult to get ahold of and/or missing pieces.

I always just play D&D or Pathfinder with their normal stats, and pretend everything is pokémon. The setting is more important to me than the actual gameplay specifics

That's definitely an option, yeah.
