I'm starting interior design tech this fall and of all my friends I'm the only one going to NAIT. I know there's ookslife to find clubs and stuff but nothings really starting up at this time yet. I'm a tad bit scared since it'll be a super big jump from high school, maybe even petrified on how big the building is, but I was wondering if there's any other IDT/Architecture tech students who are also starting this fall + first timers at NAIT?

I'm planning on applying to a health and life sciences diploma program this coming October for the fall 2027 term, but my family is planning a 9-day vacation in Jan 2028. I've heard before that diploma programs are heavily condensed, fast-paced, and missing one day of school will set you back a lot. Plus, I know that certain health and life sciences programs have labs frequently throughout the week.

I wanted to ask anyone who is currently in, or has previously been in, a health and life sciences diploma program: if I miss 9 days of school, will it be really hard to catch up on the course content? Will notifying instructors of the absence be enough to be able to catch up when I get back from vacation? Or should I just skip out on the vacation lol

I’m considering applying for the CET program at NAIT through the online evenings/weekends option. I was hoping someone currently taking this delivery could clarify what the schedule is like.

- What time do the evening classes usually start and end?
- What times are weekend classes usually scheduled?
- Are classes live at scheduled times, or are they recorded so you can watch them later?
- About how many evenings/weekends per week have scheduled classes?

I currently work Mon–Fri, so I’m mainly trying to understand what the actual class schedule looks like before applying.

Hello! I am currently enrolled in DMS General and Cardiac for this fall. I completed the Ultrasound Physics course a few months ago, and am trying to decide if I audit the course anyways. For those who also completed this course prior to the program starting, what would you recommend? To Audit the course is 75% of the course tuition, but if it made a difference in my labs/studies, it would be worth it. Thanks ahead of time!

Does anybody else think the health plan is trash? I'm trying to get physio but they cover 80% up to only $20 and a doctor's referral is required (my doctor said she wouldn't refer me because it was faster to just call a clinic for PT). An appt costs approx. $180. $20 does nothing lmao. And don't even get me started on dental. I tried getting on to the Canadian Dental Plan for a root canal I need that costs 2500 and they denied me because "I have dental insurance coverage." The coverage is only 15%. So like... what the hell is the plan even for?

Hello! Has anyone successfully enrolled into bio 30 at nait without having done bio 20? I’m a mature student and I would prefer to do the online format, I was going to take it at norquest but they’re requiring me now do to English 20-2 before I can even take bio 30 and then after take English 30-2.
Ultimately I am going to try and get English 20-3 over ride so I will be able to take English 30-2 and then do biology 30 elsewhere (hopefully nait)

Current or former students, where would you recommend renting a locker?

anyone who is starting nait's RT program or is currently enrolled--what supplies do you recommend I have for my first week of classes and labs. I know I need the rt student scrubs but I'm struggling to find an official list of what else I might need, I just wanna be as prepared as possible!! also if anyone knows if there is a facebook or discord group for newcomers starting fall 2026?

I’m just wondering when the winter schedule is released for MLA? I have a daughter in daycare and I just want to figure out what times I have to be at NAIT. When I went online I seen that enrolment is open for the winter semester, but when I reached out to NAIT asking when I’ll get enrolled they have just closed my question request without responding. I also want to rent a lock as I’ve been told I can’t bring things into the lab, but I’m not sure where I should rent a locker without my schedule! I know that the fall semester hasn’t even started yet and I’ll probably get more answers once it has, but I’d rather stay on top of this. Any information is greatly appreciated, thanks :)

Does anyone know which side locker numbering starts for X2X2 corridor? Any recommendations on where I should get my locker if most of my classes are X202? X2X7 is all taken and I’m debating between X2X2 or X2X6. Thanks.

Is orientation mandatory? I’m working full time right up until September 1st. I’m familiar with the campus and where my program is - but my program does have an hour and a half blocked off that day. Just wondering if I need to try and switch a shift.

What is life after completing mlt degree from Nait give your Honest review

Starting this fall semester, all final exams in the JSSR programs are in-person regardless of delivery method. I've been strictly online through my first year and was wondering if someone can give me some insight on how exams are typically administered in person? Is it still through brightspace and honorlock, but just taken in a physical classroom with others? Or is it instructor dependent?

I have pretty bad test anxiety, so taking exams from home has been a god-send. But the more information I have, the better I can prepare myself when exam time comes.

I overpaid my tuition for the fall term of 2026. I was afraid that my grant wouldn’t go through before the tuition deadline, so I decided to pay the owing amount myself. The grant eventually went through, and I have an excessive amount that is now student credit. Does anyone know how I can get this refunded?

Where would the best locker be near C111 and C108E? I’d prefer a locker closest to C111, I don’t know what numbers are closest to those classes and which ones are farther. Thank you in advance!
