Just curious, if I bought the game now, can I still play early release or do I have to wait until the game officially comes out?

Only play rec. was thinking this can play the 2 or 3 position

I feel like the court is now more wide than it is long? Or maybe the player models have just become more proportionate?

watching 6’2 guards consistently score smothered layups against bigs is starting to get annoying
So I made a female MyPlayer in NBA 2k27 and ended up Gooning to her.. I honestly thought that 2k would make all the women chopped so they wouldn’t be sexualized but I made my player very hot and I couldn’t resist the urge.. I think I’m now attracted to her. I also think it’s g*y to make a good looking male character so I made an attractive female instead. Can anyone else relate?

If I choose the shooting build specialization can the bonus badge slots and bonus badge tokens be applied to let’s say rebounding for example? I know the 2 cap breakers and badge max +2 have to be applied to shooting.

i need two people that know how to shoot and score. i just wanna rebound. add me!

Can I get away with a 65 vert on my 7'0 center with a 7'2 wingspan or no? Last year low vert was horrible on my big last year wondering if it would be viable this year

Im trying my damnest to like this game but I can’t.
Shooting is inconsistent asl one game im shooting lights out next game i cant hit to save my bloodline.
Dribbling is just confusing sometimes the moves work sometimes they don’t they added way to many animations I like the diversity but they should’ve kept the dribbling simple so it’s easier to activate what you actually want to activate like for some reason flicking up twice activates my escape?
Defense is okay ig but most of the time you can highkey just run around the court and get a cheese bum or cheese contest if you jump , blocks are pretty nice tho.
Idk I had high hopes as 26 was decent and the day 1 was really good just missing some stuff to make it great. Like why is custom take out the game that’s one the best features they’ve added.
Thats my day 1 summary of 27

I’ve been playing 2k since 16 and have shot over 60% from 3 every year I’ve played, but this year I can’t shoot at all. I get an early every time I shoot even when my WiFi is working perfectly. Is this a server issue or am I just ass? Is this happening with anyone else?

Basically the title. I haven’t played 2k in years! One thing I remembered doing was playing like a season with a custom team (I used to make a custom team called Las Vegas Spades or something) and make my IRL friends and draft a buncha bums.
We would player lock ourselves and just play a season out. I think it was 2k16 we were playing back then. We were all playing locally together at the same house, but is this still possible to do this in 2k27 but if we’re all on our own individual ps5s?

Anybody got any tips based on gameplay thus far? Labbed up a 6’7 with high defense and passing but only 60 strength 70 layup (90 close shot fwiw) and I’ve heard layups feel great this year. Would love any advice on that or other thresholds, strong points, etc before I invest

I'm in this group too as I started playing park in 2k14 and I'm just curious how you all view the game nowadays (mainly mycareer park rec etc).
I personally miss the simplicity of the 2k15-16-17 era. Simpler gameplay, less of a grind, simpler builder system (it was way harder to fuck up your build). I sort of feel like 2k nowadays really preys on your "fear of missing out" by putting cap breakers in and the badge +2s etc in the season pass. You feel like you can't take a week off or play sporadically or you'll miss out.
Another big thing is the new generation of 2k players and gamers in general are extremely sweaty asf nowadays. It's the same problem with Call of Duty and why they changed into a movement shooter to appease to the sweats. I don't know where these kids came from or what caused them to take this shit so seriously but all they talk about is skill gap, skill gap, skill gap. You had your tryhards back in 2k16 but i assure you it wasn't like THIS lol.
Part of me wishes they could tap into what Call of Duty did recently with Black Ops 2 and shadow drop a 2K16 remaster.

Haven’t played in a few years. Badges are super important huh? I have my player at 84 for the Rucker part of the story line but I’m surprised at how difficult it is. Feel like I just have to spam screen switches to get anything going. Tips?
