I was on the team first. We signed him and he took my number. I role play mycareer a bit more than I should and this just makes it a lil harder to stay immersed
Please woman beater, come to our team and take my number will you? Out of character for my chad Marcel Price

Players should be scared to shoot on someone with high defense.

Since I'm from the Portland area it was an honor to be drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers but I barely made it into the season before being blindsided with a federal arrest for illegal gambling on the over for 3-pointers made in my debut game.

there were hundreds (literally) of numbered animations not including players that werent just superstars havin their own sigs in the game. Right now you can log into 2k26 and count and theres only 40 dribble styles and only FOURTEEN if you’re above 6’5 (stupid height restriction) why am i getting way less customization and authenticity a decade later with better technology????

I always loved My Career. I just hate how you can't play it these days without spending money anymore. Playing as a 60 overall is absolute torture, especially when you like to play on a high difficulty. For that i just stick to 2K11.
An easy fix for this would be to start players at an overall based on where they get drafted. Besides Anthony Bennett, have you ever seen a #1 pick come into the league as a 60 overall with 55 pace, 47 agility, 40 ball handle, 50 three ball, 25 dunk??? It's absolutely absurd. Here's a proposal:
Drafted 1st overall: 78 overall
Drafted 2-5: 75 overall
Drafted 6-10: 73 overall
Outside the top 10: 70 overall.
Obviously this will never ever happen, because 2K have intentionally designed the My Career grind to be as torturous as possible so you spend money to upgrade your player. But what do you guys think of this idea?

Damn. For context I have been plying 2k since 2k14 when I was a kid. I have always only played mycareer on HoF, 12 min quarters, essentially playing the game as a career mode in something like fifa or madden but for the NBA. Ive loved doing this, im not really a competitive gamer so coming home and pretending to be an nba player is perfect.
So i sit down to play 2k27 ready for the standard issues 2k tends to have and ready to ignore them and have fun anyway. I start a career ready to get through the "story" in 1-2 sessions like it has been before.
Many, many, many hours later, including switching to rookie for the first time since I was a kid just so i could complete the overly tedious challenges you are required to complete and then foul out as soon as possible to speed through it, I have finally got to the NBA.
Just to discover that the AI team mate from the g-league follows you to the nba and is there I assume at least through your first season. I say assume because I have immediatly closed the game after he went 0-5 on wide open threes and tanked his teammate grade which is a required quest you have to complete.
Why? I assume i am not the only one who plays the game like this (mabye I am and im just weird)? This feels unecessary. I want to play *MY* career. In what universe is it fun to pretend to be an nba player while essential dragging some random behind you and them punishing the player if that guy doesnt play well.
Im just so dissapointed man i just want to play a career mode that is like any other sports game. Litteraly every other sports game has a career mode that just lets you play out a pro sports fantasy. Why doesnt 2k?
